The article I read was about how a scientist named Abdussamatov who believes that Global warming is being caused by the changes in the sun. He believes that global warming is not just occurring on Earth but also on Mars. The ice in the south pole of Mars has been melting for three summers now and Mars is experiencing the same thing as Earth. Abdussanatov alos says that man made greenhouse warming is nothing compared to the increase in solar irradiance. Reading Summary

During silent reading, I read about a few famous people and their major ideas. For example, Locke believed that every person was born with a blank mind. People should think for themselves. Montesquieu came up with the idea of Separation of power and checks and balances. He believed that England's government had three branches; executive, legislative and judicial branch. This idea of separation of power is now used in the United States.
