Tuesday's Question

2). When developing my solution, I had a choice between choosing to use 2 types of code. One was select case else statement and another was select case Is statement. I decided to use the select case Is statement because it is more similar to the if...then...esle statement and I felt more comfortable using that one because I had a better idea of how to use it.

Wednesdy's Question

4) A problem I faced was getting a long equation to work out properly. Making the equation fit in one line with many signs (+,-,*,/) is a shorter way but its easy to make a mistake and hard to catch them. My advise would be to just take small parts at a time and write the equation piece by piece.

Thursday's Question

3). Today I finished the Joke project and tested it. The codes worked well; the joke, picture and the punch-line all worked properly. However, sometimes I have to close the program and reopen it and click "play" again to get it to work because an error message comes.

wednesday's Question

1). A problem I kept encountering while developing my soultion was that i could not test out my project. Every time I clicked on play, an error message appears. I changed the security option but it still didn't work. After trying several ways to get it to work, I noticed that it works sometimes and doesn't work sometimes. When the teacher came to help, it worked but I am still having trouble with it. Next class I will ask the teacher to help again.

Tuesday's Question

4). If someone is having trouble not getting the right answer when testing the problem, I would advise them to check if they have 15 numbers and if they do, then they did the program correctly. The book wirtes the answer in a shorter form when you type .01 so its fine if you get something different.

Reading Summary

The article I read was about the problem of dry eyes. New research has been done by Tom Millar, a professor at University of Western Sydney and he has found that there is a thin layer of protein keeping the tears together and stopping it from evaporating. Before this, it was thought to be lipids that was the thin layer protecting the tears. The new discovery will help create better eye drops that will keep the eye from becoming dry for a longer period of time.
